Dr. Peabody earned his bachelor's degree in Physiology and Cell Biology from the University of California in Santa Barbara, where he graduated with honors. He then earned his DDS degree from the University of California in San Francisco – one of the top two dental schools in the world. Married and a father of four children, he has been practicing family dentistry in Santa Cruz since 1988, with strong emphasis on prevention of dental disease. His philosophy is to prevent and/or correct dental disease early on, so as to save his patients unnecessary pain and suffering and ensure a positive attitude about their oral health. He is strongly committed to treating his patients in the most comfortable means possible and helping his patients keep their teeth all of their lives in maximum comfort, function, health, and esthetics. Dr. Peabody attends numerous continuing education courses and subscribes to the most respected journals so he may provide his patients with the highest possible quality of care. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Monterey Bay Dental Society, and the American Academy of Gnathologic Occlusion. His services include Sedation Dentistry; preventive oral care; periodontal therapy (gum treatment); tooth replacement such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implants; tooth restoration (fillings); endodontics (root canal therapy); cosmetic dentistry; and orthopedic orthodontics. Dr. Peabody treats patients of all ages. His patients consistently comment that he is gentle, conscientious, and makes them feel at ease. They have been complimenting him with the referral of their friends, which has resulted in the rapid expansion of his practice. Dr. Peabody cares about people and looks forward to many years of service in this community.
